Meetings
The Members' Evenings are held in the Ballroom of the Nottingham Mechanics in North Sherwood Street in Nottingham on the THIRD WEDNESDAY of every month.
The Nottingham Mechanics is a new building, and the Ballroom is a light, well furnished, modern room with full audio and video facilities.
You will find the Nottingham Mechanics not far from the corner of Shakespeare Street and North Sherwood Street.
The doors open at 7.00 pm with a chance to browse the Bookstall. The meetings begin at 7.15 pm with the notices and the guest speaker is introduced at 7.30 pm prompt.
Tea and Coffee are available after the meeting.
A licensed café is available in the Nottingham Mechanics for those members who wish to use it. The café is open all day.
The Nottingham Mechanics is well served by public transport, being within some 300m of major bus and tram stops.
Car parking is available in the Victoria Centre, the Royal Centre and the newly re-opened Trinity Square car park. There is no car parking at the Nottingham Mechanics and local streets are very heavily used for parking.
Maps should be treated with caution as the road layout in this area of Nottingham is being changed significantly. In particular, the location of bus stops in the neighbourhood of the Victoria Centre may change.
